The objective was to remove illegal and non-compliant outdoor advertising materials that have cluttered these junctions, obstructed motorists’ visibility and defaced the city.
Materials removed included expired posters, oversized banners tied to poles, unauthorised billboard frames and displays erected without ABSSAA approval.
The exercise was bypeaceful and orderly, conducted in the full glare of the public during business hours to demonstrate transparency and to serve as awareness for other advertisers.

This operation reflects the mandate of the MD/CEO Hon. Adindu that ABSSAA regulation is not targeted at voices and opportunities but at ensuring variation from ideal standards is corrected in line with our mandate as a creation of State law.
