My achievements will get me second term victory –Gov. Otti

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has opened Labour campaign for 2027 polls in Abia, with a declaration that his achievements in education, health, infrastructure, security, environmental restoration would give him a resounding second term victory.

Governor Otti who was addressing a mamoth crowd at the Umuahia township stadium during a Church service to flag off the Labour Party (LP) 2027 campaign, said the areas that could have been used for campaigns, by the opposition parties, had been settled by his administration in his first term.

He said that renewal of his mandate for a second term by Abia people, would enable him to consolidste on the good works he commenced in 2023.

The Abia State Governor who appreciated the Abia people for their support to him , expressed joy that Abia now ranks top in citizens satisfaction index according to reports from credible research organizations.

He however said public facilities in the State should not be closed against the candidates and members of the opposition parties, promising that his administration would not demolish any property of individuals for being in the oppositon parties, as it was done in the past administrations.

Governor Otti who expressed confidence that his achievements would secure him the victory, said that every individual who pay necessary fees, should not be blocked from such facilities.

” I have since given an order and am repeating it here that opposition parties should not be restricted from using public facilities, including this stadium.

” Never again will anybody’s fence be demolished for being in the opposition.”

Governor Otti who lamented that a fence belonging to his supporter was demolished by the previous administration of the state, promised that such vindictive measures would not be applied by his administration, against his challengers.

He congratulated his opponents in the 2027 race, saying that the beauty of democracy is the ability of the Abia people to have available options.

The Abia Governor charged the stakeholders of the Labour Party to deliver all candidates of the Labour Party in their localities.

In his speech, the Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Emeruwa, said that the next House of Assembly should be dominated by the LP, to avoid impeachment plots against Governor Otti.

He stressed the need for continuous stability in the Abia State House of Assembly as well as a cordial relationship between the executive and legislature.

The National Chairman of the LP, Senator Nenadi Usman who was represented by the Deputy National Chairman of the party, Salisu Nuhu Mohammed, said that the achievements of Governor of Alex Otti will help Abia to win Abia and other States.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Labour in Abia State, Hon. Peter Azubuike declared that LP has no opposition in 2027, as according to him, the achievements of the Governor Alex Otti -led administration in all parts of Abia makes the Governor and other LP candidates the choice of the people.

Urban and Rural News observed that the Umuahia township stadium was filled to the brim with a large crowd of party supporters, Governor Alex Otti support groups, Lawmakers , the clergy and other degnitries.

The occasion also featured the giving of Labour Party flags to LP candidates for Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly.
